Asian High Tea and Glass of Champagne £25 per person.

A chic basement dwelling entered via a glass triangle-shaped pod, Australasia brings modern Australian-style cuisine to central Manchester. Alongside Pacific Rim flavours and influences from Europe, Indonesia, South East Asia and Japan, guests can indulge in a modern take on afternoon tea.

An Asian-style afternoon tea is served in 2 ‘waves’ at Australasia in Manchester, with fresh salad and sushi followed by sweet treats accompanied by flowering teas. A cherry-picked list of sakes and exclusive cocktails are served at the bar, and cleansing infused water flavours include watermelon, and orange & galangal.

The Australasia menu also features a rage of supreme sashimi, nigiri and Californian rolls, as well as tempura, and sizzling delicacies from the robata grill. Amongst the ‘big’ and ‘small’ plates, favourites include warm duck salad with papaya & peanuts, or crispy suckling pork belly with pineapple curry.

Whitewashed brick and woven wicker furnishings are found indoors at Australasia restaurant, while the canopied garden terrace offers a tranquil urban oasis. Salford Central Station is a 7-minute walk away.
