The STARBURST MEDIA CITY FESTIVAL is a celebration of genre movies; offering the best of cult, independent, horror, sci-fi, and fantasy - both classic revivals and new releases. This year, the STARBURST MEDIA CITY FESTIVAL is a FREE event that is taking place on Friday, March 16th and Saturday, March 17th, 2018 at The Landing, Media City. The venue is at the prestigious Salford hub - home of the BBC and ITV as well as many other independent studios. It is not far from the heart of the city centre and within easy access to all major transport links. We have a great line-up of new independent features and shorts, with many of the filmmakers in attendance. We will also have special guests Andrew Lee Potts (Primeval) and Jörg Buttgereit (Nekromantik), who will be talking about their work.
