Making things simple with a focus on service

You’ll notice a few things about Masons that sets them apart from other restaurants in Manchester. They know it’s easy to be bamboozled by flowery language on restaurant menus. Therefore they’ve deliberately kept our menu simple with the names of traditional British dishes that you’ll immediately recognise. They then expect their experienced waiting staff to do the rest – giving you all the details of the locally sourced ingredients that make up the day’s dishes – to help you make your choices.

A nod to the Freemasons’ history of their iconic building

They are located on the ground floor of Manchester Hall – the former Freemasons Hall – and you’ll notice a few nods to the building’s past in their interiors. Their restaurant boasts a multitude of different dining settings under one roof, catering for a plethora of requirements – from breakfast planning meetings, entertaining clients at lunch or enjoying a romantic evening meal. A Freemasons-inspired booth can be booked for private dining.

With a full coffee barista service and extensive whiskey and gin menu, Masons is perfect both for work lunches and meetings during the day, as well as being the ideal place to unwind after a stressful day in the office. Our smart bartenders and staff are easy to spot in their smart uniforms, while you relax with friends and colleagues in plush surroundings.

Just as the Masons’ name references the building’s unique history, the food at Masons also nods to some of Britain’s most traditional and best loved dishes. All ingredients on their a la carte grill menu are carefully sourced from across the British Isles, including Connemara organic Irish salmon from Ireland and Dukesmoor steaks from Cumbria.
