Bring your own food and drink as we picnic whilst turning back the clock and celebrate the greatest decade of pop, the 1980s.
Back to the 80s Party with former 80s heroes ABC, The Human League, Heaven 17, Belinda Carlisle, and Go West.
Human League
Formed in the late 1970s by Sheffield-based computer programmers Ian Craig Marsh and Martyn Ware, Human League evolved into one of the seminal 80s electro pop bands. Fronted by former hospital porter, Philip Oakey - and featuring dancers Susan Ann Sulley and Joanne Catherall - the band went on to record some of the most influential songs of the decade.
ABC
Big-haired, cool and suave '80s pop icons whose videos and songs lived on long after the band had split. Their debut album The Lexicon of Love' was a huge hit in 1981and often features in UK critics' lists of favourite albums; it ranked 42nd in The Observer Music Monthly's "Top 100 British Albums" (June 2004). Now reformed and back on the road with new material as well as the classics.
Belinda Carlisle
Former member of California super-babes The Go Gos and a highly successful solo performer in her own right, Belinda has sold over 90 million records worldwide throughout her career to date.
Go West!
Formed in 1982 by Peter Cox and Richard Drummie, Go West! went on to have huge commercial success, establishing the pair as one of the most successful singer/songwriter duos of the eighties. Producing hits such as We Close Our Eyes and Goodbye Girl, the pair have continued working together to this day and are still producing chart topping hits.
Heaven 17
80s synth-pop heroes, once the instrumental core of The Human League, who achieved considerable chart success in their own right.
Tatton Park is an award-winning estate with neo-classical mansion, 20 hectares (50 acres) of gardens, working farm, set in 400-hectare (1,000-acre) deer park.
