The Southport Air Show on the seafront is one of the largest aviation events in the North West. Attracting over 80,000 visitors over the two days with a packed flying programme and activities on the beach, this family event is not to be missed!
The Show opens at 9am with attractions on the ground such as static aircraft, bungee trampolines, assault courses, water walkers and the Model Aero Club flying display.
From 10am you can witness light aircraft landing on the purpose built runway on the beach. With Southport being the only Air Show in the UK that can facilitate this, it is a unique sight not to be missed so make sure you arrive early.
The flying programme starts from midday and in the past the Red Arrows have impressed the audience with their patriotic displays and aerobatics. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight is also a firm favourite with the audience, commemorating World War II with their display.
