Inspired by the Mexican holiday, the event will feature pageantry, giant skull processions, acrobats and dancers.
A Halloween fiesta inspired by Mexico’s day of the dead celebrations is coming to Manchester.
Featuring carnivalesque pageantry, giant skull processions, acrobats, dancers and beautiful decorative art, the event is touring around the UK throughout October and November, ending up in Manchester on November 19.
There will also be free skull face painting, piñatas and DJs all day and night, playing dance music with a Latin twist, along with house, garage, bass and grime.
Organisers have stressed the event is not part of the Dia de los Muertos public holiday, which has significant religious meaning and many traditions that will not be replicated at any of its shows.
Venues have begun to be announced for the earlier events although the Manchester location has yet to be confirmed.
