Borovets
Borovets is a long-established ski resort situated in the atmospheric pine forests of the Rila mountains. It is very popular with British guests who enjoy the good value and fun environment as well as the colourful local traditions that make skiing here a little more unique! It has developed into a modern, high-class Alpine type with luxury hotels, restaurants, discos, shops and a wide choice of pistes and lifts. It provides excellent conditions for a vast array of winter sports and activities.
At 1300m, the small, compact resort sits amidst thick pine forests within the Rila Mountains. There are bargains galore in the local shops and market style stalls in the small pedestrianised shopping area, and going out is extremely good value compared to home. Borovets is an excellent choice of resort for those trying out a ski holiday, with an excellent ski school that has introduced thousands of people to skiing over the year. The welcoming four star Rila Hotel, renowned for it's large and lively facilities, located at the foot of the ski slopes with ski in / ski out, it's the most impressive hotel in Borovets. All the resorts amenities are close to hand with the ski school meeting point, nursery slopes and four-man chairlift on the hotel's doorstep.
