One of, if not, the most enjoyable of walks available in Manchester, finished with a well deserved meal among some new Manchester friends.
Chorlton Ees and Sale Water Park
Wonderful wildlife, water, flowers and fascinating walks – in a surprising suburban setting.
Explore some of Manchester's finest local nature reserves – a haven for wild birds, and a fantastic range flora and fauna.
Sale water park is a chain of nature reserves that run along the River Mersey as it winds its way between Chorlton-Cum-Hardy and Sale. Both Sale Water Park and Chorlton Eees, on the other side of the river, are home to vast numbers of wild birds, with marshes, rivers, streams, wildflower meadows and woods providing a variety of habitats for native and migrating birds.
We'll be heading towards the Trans Pennine Trail and finishing at the River Mersey.
Start and Finish: Chorlton Bus Station
Distance: 4 1/2 miles app
Time: 2 1/4 hrs app

Once the walk is complete, we'll be going for an optional Sunday Roast in Chorlton.
