Intro to Kayaking, Reserve List

An introductory day of kayaking aimed at those who would like to take it slow and steady. Our very experienced and fully qualified kayak coach will teach you the necessary skills and help to build your confidence as you discover the joys of kayaking. It doesn’t take long to master the rudiments and within a short time you will be paddling along at a gentle pace taking in all that nature provides and marvelling at the beauty of our very own coastline. You will feel closer to nature as we mingle with the local wildlife from a wide variety of sea birds to perhaps the odd basking seal if the weather allows, who knows what we might see. We will spend the first hour or so familiarising ourselves with the equipment and our surrounding before we slip our kayaks into the water. It will feel strangely different at first right done at near water level but within a short time you will begin to gain in confidence and then wonder why you hadn’t done anything like this before! We will use a sheltered location to build confidence and practise some skills and maybe play some games! When everyone feels comfortable we might go a wee journey taking our packed lunches with us and stopping off on some deserted beach or island. This intro day could be the start of a new interest and maybe you might be interested in another kayaking day or even a weekend visiting different locations and having another adventure. This is a trip not to be missed and will open your eyes to endless kayaking possibilities! So what are you waiting for? Come on give it a try…..
