Peak District Walk with Lunch

What better way to get to know some new people than to take a leisurely walk in one of England's most popular districts. No distractions! Just fantastic scenery and some great company. Our Sunday walks in the Peak district continue with this classic walk through Derwent Edge. Join us as our monthly peak district walk takes in the views from Derwent Edge. The walk should allow us to see some of the best known landmarks in the Peak District from the prominent outcrop of Back Tor on Derwent Edge. Starting from below the massive wall of Derwnt Dam we will walk around the shores of Drewent Reservoir and then climb across the moorland to Derwent Edge. From here we take the splendid walk along the edge passing the spectacular rock formations that line the route. Then is it back down to car park and a well earned pint in a local Pub. Walk Information Distance: 7 miles approx Time: 3 1/2 hours Terrain: along bridleways & footpaths – some parts may be muddy. Recommended footwear: Walking shoes Recommended clothing: Light trousers (not Jeans). Waterproofs amy be needed depending on the weather. Please also bring along a packed lunch. No transport is needed as car sharing is available.
