The UK’s first official Transylvanian Hungarian festival of Arts and Culture, Góbéfest will make its debut on 13th and 14th May 2017 in Albert Square, Manchester.
You have heard all the mysterious myths and legends, now come and experience the real magic of Transylvania, right in the centre of Manchester.
Góbéfest promises to be a unique celebration, offering a dazzling extravaganza of music, dance, cuisine and cultural activities , captivating the whole family with the authentic sounds, tastes and flavours of the Hungarian Culture of Transylvania.
Góbéfest is a new festival set to take place in Manchester City Centre on 13 -14 May. The free event is open to everyone in the community and brings a fantastic line up of live music, dance, performing arts and more, celebrating the Hungarian culture of Transylvania. Inspired by the Góbé culture, better known as the Székely Hungarians of Transylvania, the festival will offer a unique experience and a varied programme of activities for all the family. Góbéfest will proudly welcome some incredible musicians and artists the UK for the first time, performing a myriad of genres, blending the traditional with the modern. Góbéfest aims to become a catalyst for cultural and artistic collaborations between the UK, Hungary and Transylvania, Romania.
