About: Night of Neon 2009 is most certainly a charity event with a difference. If you're looking to incorporate exercise into your social life, raise money for charity and have fun along the way with a night of vibrant entertainment, then this event is definitely for you! 
Staged around a neon lit Salford Quays, you will have the option to take part in a 5km jog as the sun goes down, or a 10km night walk transformed in the dark with neon lights. If one event just isn't enough, why not take part in both the jog and the walk?
The Christie is a leading cancer centre with an international reputation for research, treating over 40,000 patients every year. All the money raised at this event will help provide treatments and hope for the many people affected by cancer, whilst also providing invaluable help to their families.
The event will start and finish at the world class Lowry Plaza. The jog will begin at 5pm as the sun goes down, with the walk commencing at 8pm. By the time the joggers return, the entertainment will be in full swing with a Neon party and a whole host of acts to keep the effervescent atmosphere alive. If you fancy taking part in the walk, you need not worry that you will miss out on the fun though, as entertainment will be on offer all the way around the neon lit course, making for one of the most enjoyable walks of all time – perfect for all the family!
Neon colours will light up the evening and everyone that signs up will receive a free neon t-shirt along with their sponsorship pack. Why not take this even further and turn up in a full neon outfit?
