This afternoon we are seeing:  Matthew Sharp with the Northern Chamber Orchestra

'Virtuso of the Arts' (The Times) Matthew Sharp is teaming up with the Northern Chamber Orchestra for an inspirational matinee concert at Stockport Town Hall.

Matthew has previously performed with Opera North, Manchester Camerata and the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra amongst many others. He returns to Stockport following a hugely successful and well received concert with the Northern Chamber Orchestra last Spring.

Matthew will take the lead in Elgar's Cello Concerto, which celebrates it's centenary this year. The programme also includes Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, two of DvoÅ™ák's Slavonic Dances and the sublime Waltz from Tchaikovsky's Sleeping Beauty.

What our members say.

I really enjoy theatre and especially musicals but often my friends are not interested. It was great to finally find people who not only didn’t mind me singing along to Rock of Ages, but joined in with me! Paulette.

Thank you for arranging for us to see The Play that Goes Wrong. My sides still hurt from laughing. Great company and host, as always. William.

The price to attend the event includes the ticket price plus, where applicable, booking fee and Venue Restoration Levy. Additional per transaction charges, ranging from £2.50 to £12.50 for handling apply.
Subject to numbers and availability.
