Tonight we are seeing The Chesterfields.
35 years since they formed in Yeovil, Somerset, The Chesterf!elds are back for a short run of UK dates. The Chesterf!elds came to prominence as part of the 'C-86' scene of bands along with The Wedding Present, Primal Scream, The Soup Dragons and more. They released two albums "Kettle" (1987) and "Crocodile Tears" (1988) before splitting in 1989. The newly reformed group also now feature Andy Strickland of The Loft & The Caretaker Race. Dai-Nichi are Seiko Nemoto (Bass and Vocals) and Yuko Yamasaki (Guitar and Vocals). Together they play a form of artpop/postpunk with echoes of bands like Gang Of Four and XTC.

It was great to finally find people who not only didn’t mind me singing along to Rock of Ages, but joined in with me! Paulette. Thank you for arranging for us to see The Play that Goes Wrong. My sides still hurt from laughing. Great company and host, as always. William.
