Want to meet people and try new activities?
Imagine having oodles of fun whilst meeting new people! There is always a great mix of friendly people on our events so if you are in the mood to try some new activities, then this is the event for you.
Our priority is to make sure people have fun and make new friends in a safe friendly environment. Your host will text you in advance to ease any nerves, welcome you and introduce you to other members, as well as being on hand to ensure you have a great time.
Today we are at The Sale Santa Dash
It's back! After a sell out last year, we are super delighted to bring you this year’s Sale Santa Dash. Due to demand, this year they are releasing more spaces, and also have a few tricks up their sleeves to make the event even better! The’re doing 2 Santa Dashes again - one at 9am for families, and one at 10.30am for big kids!
IT’S MEANT TO BE FUN!!!
This volunteer-led event is about bringing everyone in the community together. The #MileShyClub are your hosts, but we really need YOU to make this an annual event. We’re charging for tickets to cover our costs, and in return everyone running will get a Santa hat, goody bag and medal. Any money left over is going to Prostate Cancer UK to support our friend and #MileShyClub trustee, Tony Collier, who in May 2017 went from training for the gruelling Comrades Ultra Marathon to being diagnosed with incurable prostate cancer in the space of 36 hours.
This is also a FANCY DRESS event - the bigger the better and whilst fancy dress is not mandatory … there are prizes for the best Christmassy outfits!
What our Members say:
Going to a music festival was one of my ‘bucket list’ activities to try. Admittedly I had something like Glastonbury in mind but when I saw a local music festival on the calendar I signed up straight away. I had a lot of fun. Thanks for a great time. Julie.
I have never been to a murder mystery party, and wasn’t sure whether it was my cup of tea but I was roped into it by other members. It was a fun evening with plenty of laughs. I would definitely recommend giving it a try. Pete.
