About a 9 mile walk (with a 430m ascent) in the moors to the west of Marsden along canal towpaths, moorland paths, pathless moor and an old packhorse route. You will need walking boots as some areas of the moorland can be wet. Also bring waterproofs, lunch, water and warm clothes. We'll be going to the Tunnel End pub for a pint or two at the end. We'll meet at Victoria station at 10:00 for train at 10:18 to arrive in Marsden at 10:50, or drive straight there and meet in Standedge Visitor Centre Car Park (just to the west of Marsden station), at 11:00. Return services: 17:22, 19:22.
