After meeting at Atlas, we will continue to work our way around Castlefield, where we will visit another 4 bars including Dukes 92. Social Circle will provide your first drink as you arrive at each of the four bars we visit.
Famous for its Roman history and now host to many music events and festivals, Castlefield is certainly a desirable area of Manchester. If you searching for somewhere to retire for a drink, then Castlefield will not disappoint.
When bar culture really hit Manchester in the late 90's, stylish Mancunians flocked to Castlefield's trendy canalside bars however the area suffered badly when fashion dictated the crowds walk a few metres along the cobbled road to the nearby Deansgate Locks. The likes of Quay Bar, Box Bar and Jackson's Wharf all closed down long before the controversial Beetham Tower blocked their once beautiful view of Manchester's skyline. Their architectually brilliant shells left to decay, showing glimpses of what once was, tragically awaiting the property developer's crushing ball to make way for more luxury apartments. Fortunately, there's still some wonderful bars and pubs here, seemingly busier than ever before.
So join us as we visit a selection of those very same bars. Included will be local hotspot, Dukes 92.
The cost includes four drinks and bar to bar waiter service.
Rob your host will TEXT you on the day telling you where he is and what he's wearing in Atlas so you'll have his number just in case you're running late or want him to meet you outside first.
