Social Circle brings together people just like you looking to meet others in Manchester to share fun activities and experiences. Steve will personally welcome you to ease any nerves and text you on the day. Don't worry if you're coming on your own - so is everyone else!

The Route:
Distance: 9 Miles
Grade: Intermediate

Steve welcomes you to ease yourself out of lock-down with this intermediate circular walk Starting from the beginning of the Longdendale Trail in the beautiful Peak District. You will follow this trail and loop around Rhodeswood and Torside Resevoirs and return on the other side with a short detour through the slate mines taking in the stunning Derbyshire views.

We intend to leave from the car park at the start of the Longdeddale Trail at 10am and expect to return sometime around 2.30pm. Hadfield train station is a short walk away which regularly run trains from Manchester Piccadilly.

You will need to bring a good supply of water and a packed lunch, good footwear and possibly waterproofs depending on the weather.

Walks and Rambles Update: We are now allowed to meet in groups of up to 6 unrelated people in outdoor situations. With this in mind, we are re-starting our leisure walks and hikes programme. This will mean that we can only have 5 on each walk (the 6th will be the walk leader) but it’s a start.

Is it safe? Following government guidelines by maintaining social distancing and keeping numbers within recommended limits. We will carefully choose the walks in terms of routes and start locations to avoid busy areas. Your safety and well-being are of paramount importance to Social Circle, so we want you to enjoy yourself whilst staying safe and avoiding any risks as much as possible.

Hope you can join us.

Steve

"Thanks for a wonderful walk around Dunham Massey. It was a beautiful sunny day. Ee took our time and we met and fed the deer. Perfect!" Nic

"I decided it was time to start getting active again. The easy pace and distances coupled with the promise of sunday lunch had me sign up for Social Circle straight away. As a bonus, I got a 10 day pass to my local gym too." Dave
