Do you actually know what we do here at Trafford Carers Centre ? In Trafford there are an estimated 20,000 Unpaid Carers. That's people who care for a friend or family member out of love. We currently have just over 6000 of them registered with us and that number is growing daily. The oldest carer we have is in their 90's and the youngest is just 5 years old. We support them in many ways, counselling, health checks, benefit checks, free groups for them to go to and meet others in the same situation, someone at the end of the phone to listen. The list goes on but as a carer who reached out in a time of personal crisis I can tell you the support was life saving. Everything we do is self funded and we are a registered charity. Every single penny you raise for us goes a really long way. £100 can provide a carer with 8 counselling sessions or support one of our carer support groups with all costs and refreshments for an entire year. You really can make a big difference to many peoples lives.
