Social Sunday Walk Around Hebden Bridge with Roast

Length: 8.5 miles

Duration: 4h

Difficulty: 3 (some steep slopes)

Transport: Car share, meeting at Tesco Didsbury at 9:30

Hebden Bridge is also known as the “Centre of Pennines”. This small town developed in mediaeval times as a river crossing and meeting point on packhorse routes and takes its name from a bridge on Hebden Water. Hebden Bridge lies near the Pennine Way and along the Rochdale canal and also in the vicinity of the National Trust owned picturesque Hardcastle Crags. Our circular walk will take
us through typical Greater Manchester scenery: quiet canal towpaths, beautiful woodland, hills and open moorland of the Pennine Way.

Kasia your host will TEXT you on the day telling you where she is and what she's wearing at Tesco so you'll have her number just in case you're running late or want her to meet you  first.

Kit list: fleece, hat, gloves (it may be windy on the ridge), waterproof jacket, walking boots, walking trousers (not jeans!), water bottle/flask, packed lunch
