Three Peaks Training Walk – around the Dovestone Reservoir
Meeting point: 9:30am the clock tower at Tesco Didsbury (car share)
Distance: 12.5 miles
Duration: 6h
Difficulty: 4 (a few steep ascents and descents)
Our walk will start at the Dovestone reservoir carpark and will take us onto a part of Saddleworth Moor and around the picturesque Dovestone Reservoir, surrounded by beautiful gritstone crags of Dovestone Moss and Wimberry Moss and some great viewpoints. We will then go back to the cars and after a 2min drive sit down for a well deserved pint and a snack at the Kingfisher Bar in Greenfield.
Kit list: Hiking boots (not trekking shoes please), walking trousers (no jeans), waterproofs, fleece, hat, water, tea flask, packed lunch.
