Edale to New Mills via Kinder Scout Linear Walk

Duration: 6 hours walking total duration 8 hours.
Difficulty: 4 with a few steep ascents and rock scrambling (1 being easy 5 being hard).
This is a linear walk starting in Edale and ending in New Mills about 7pm.
This is a varied walk which takes you through Edale Village then a slow ascent with beautiful scenery along Grindsbrook Clough. Then some rock scrambling up onto the plateau of Kinder. Once on the top a fairly flat walk along to Crowden Tower and the Wool Pack Stones, which are some amazing limestone rock formations carved out by wind and rain, a chance to take some photos and break for lunch.

Finally a 3 mile stroll following the River Goyt along the Sett Valley Trail and back into New Mills for about 7pm / 8pm depending group size, weather conditions and length of stops.
