FREE Ashop Head and Kinder Downfall from Snake Pass

Distance: 10 miles

Difficulty: 3 (one ascent)

Duration: 4h

This walk starts and finishes in the woodlands of Lady Clough, along the Snake Pass road. From there the path steadily climbs onto the Kinder Plateau along the beautiful Fairbrook Clough before reaching The Edge. The walk then continues along the edge past beautiful weather eroded rocks of the Boxing Gloves, the Pedestal and many more before reaching Ashop Head and the Pennine Way. Following Pennine Way for a bit, we will reach the spectacular Kinder Downfall, and stop for lunch there. We will then return to Ashop Head and descend back to our cars via the picturesque Ashop Clough, for a well deserved pint in the famous Ladybower Inn.

Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers (not jeans!), walking boots, packed lunch, tea flask.
