Ever wanted to take part in a charity event (bike ride, run, walk), but didn’t enter because you were scared to do it alone? This year use Social Circle to find mates and enjoy one of the great 2012 challenges together. Click on the Doodle link below to let us know which event you would be interested in, and when a few of you book, we will get you guys together and facilitate training etc for you. It’s a great way to make friends and do something good for the community at the same time!

GREAT MANCHESTER CYCLE
How about going outdoors this Bank Holiday and making a difference? Great Manchester Cycle 2012 is a charity bike ride event in aid of Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research. It will also be the first mass participation urban bike ride taking place on completely closed roads in an otherwise bustling city centre, including a stretch of Manchester’s busiest motorway – the iconic Mancunian way. Starting and finishing at Eastlands, the course will take you through the districts of Manchester, Trafford and Salford. The urban terrain provides access to roads normally strictly off limits to cyclists, giving you a new perspective on the iconic buildings and landscapes of Greater Manchester.
The event has three distance options, setting off in waves from 08:00 - giving you the option to Get Out and Pedal over 13 miles at a leisurely pace of about 7mph, Rule the Roads over 26 miles (about 13mph) or Test Yourself over 52 miles (18mph). Suitable for all ages and abilities, the Great Manchester Cycle is brought to you by the organisers of the Bupa Great Manchester Run, so you can be guaranteed a safe and well organised event.
Entry fee includes; accurate chip timing, a Great Manchester Cycle T-shirt, medal and finishers pack. There will also be a feed station on course to keep you hydrated and your energy levels topped up.
