The World Premiere of a brand new national tour opens in Liverpool: Tim Rice and Andrew Lloyd-Webber’s EVITA. Featuring some of the most famous and inspiring stage music ever written, including the classic songs ‘Don’t Cry For Me Argentina’, ‘On This Night of a Thousand Stars’ and ‘Buenos Aires’, EVITA brings to life the dynamic persona of Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron.
West End performer Louise Dearman is confirmed to play the role of the extraordinary Eva Peron, wife of former Argentine dictator Juan Peron, who, from young and ambitious beginnings, gained enormous wealth and power during her ultimate rise to sainthood. Louise’s musical theatre credits include Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Grease, Kiss Me Kate and Guys and Dolls.
Joining Louise on stage in the role of Che is Seamus Cullen, popular finalist from the hit BBC TV programme Any Dream Will Do, Mark Heenehan as Juan Peron, whose film credits include The Road to Damascus, Spy Game and Thunderpants and newcomer James Waud as Magaldi, who was hand picked from over one hundred hopefuls who entered a casting call to find the perfect all round performer for the role.
With more than 20 major awards to its credit and featuring one of the most coveted roles in musical theatre, this brand new production of the smash hit show truly promises to be the theatrical event of the year!
Louise Dearman is scheduled play the role of Eva Peron on Monday to Saturday evenings and Saturday matinee in week one, and on Tuesday to Saturday (including both matinees) in week two.
Gemma Atkins, our alternative Eva, is therefore scheduled to perform the mid week matinee in week one and the Monday evening performance in week two.
As always, casting can be subject to change, and should ailments or other unforeseen circumstances arise, alternative actors will take their place.
