Each of the Staterooms is individually decorated to reflect Dickens and his most popular works. The Mansion is dressed with flowers, foliage and greenery from the Gardens and Parkland, as it would have been when the Egerton family celebrated Christmas here in the 19th century. Walking through the Staterooms, visitors are entertained by classical music from local performers and on selected days there will be Dickens' readings in the Library. In the Servants' quarters festive decoration demonstrations offer tips and ideas to create your own at home, while the kitchen and scullery maids are busy preparing Christmas delicacies and the Cratchett family's festive table awaits. As an addition to this year's visit the Cellars will be open to show what life was like in the basement of the household.

Admission is £8.50, payable on the day.
