Jane Levy, Shiloh Fernandez, Lou Taylor Pucci, Jessica Lucas, Elizabeth Blackmore
There are nasty surprises lurking in the woods in this blood-drenched remake of the notorious '80s shocker! Five friends, Mia (Jane Levy), David (Shiloh Fernandez), Olivia (Jessica Lucas), Eric (Lou Taylor Pucci) and Natalie (Elizabeth Blackmore), head to a remote cabin in the woods. In the basement they find a mysterious tome called The Book of the Dead. Upon reading it, they unwittingly summon a demonic force capable of possessing the living - and soon the friends are besieged by supernatural evil. When Mia herself is transformed into a horrifying ghoul, the remaining friends must battle to survive the night. On its release in 1981, Sam Raimi's gory debut The Evil Dead generated instant notoriety. Made on a shoestring and blending horror with outrageous black humour, it launched Raimi into a massively successful career. Now he returns as a producer for this 2013 remake. Fans can even share their reaction to the shocking trailer by visiting the film's YouTube page!
