Beginning life as a small one day festival at Platt Fields Park, Manchester, Parklife Festival has now evolved into one of the biggest inner city music festivals the UK has ever seen. Since it's inception, the festival has developed into a full weekend festival (although we will bevisiting just on the Saturday) that sees thousands of music lovers descend on Manchester for two days of the finest music on offer.
2012 was the last time the festival will take place at the original site of Platt Fields Park, as the festival moves on to new pastures for Parklife 2013.
Although the Parklife lineup is traditionally dominated by underground dance music with arenas being hosted by Crosstown Rebels, Chibuku, Kaluki, Wax:On, Ape and other dance heavyweights, the likes of Chic, The Flaming Lips, Dizzy Rascal, Labrinth, Azealia Banks and Jessie Ware have also featured at the festival over the years.
