When
10th February 2007 All Day
Venue
10am – 4pm. Home (pub) for 7pm
Where:
Undisputed outdoor capital of North Wales, situated in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of the Snowdonia national park, at ‘Marin’ trail, Gwydyr Forest, Betws-Y-Coed, Wales.
Transport
You do need to get to Wales. I can’t get too many people and bikes in a Mini! (managed 3 bikes once!) - but I do have a bike rack that carries 3 bikes and can lend out 2 bikes on a first come, first serve basis. After that I’m looking to others to provide lifts and bike carrying facilities.
This event has already taken place.
Please check out our
calendar for other great events.
What is it:
Exactly what your mountain bike was built for! After an inevitable ascent (no ski lifts I’m afraid) – pure downhill mountain biking, weaving through trees and boulders, and across streams in the undisputed outdoor capital of North Wales, situated in the heart of the breathtaking scenery of the Snowdonia national park.
What’s included:
I will be your guide for the day – taking things at a sensible pace and ensuring everyone enjoys themselves.
What do I need:
You do not need to be extremely fit! – just bags of enthusiasm! You can even walk sections you don’t fancy riding down / riding up! – we won’t tell anyone!
Kit
You need a ‘mountain’ worthy mountain bike – ie: with responsive breaks and gears and all sensible stuff – ie: helmet, gloves, repair kit, pump, warm clothing and waterproofs, drinks and snacks.
Bike hire company in Wales if anyone is interested in hiring bikes etc for the day.
Cost: £5
