We shall be invading Manchester Museum, spending a couple of hours inspecting the exhibits before heading over to the nearby Kro Bar for a mouth-watering lunch. The Manchester Museum has its roots in Enlightenment collecting and in Victorian civic culture. First opened in its present building in 1888, the Museum has been at the heart of the University of Manchester for over a century. Galleries They are well known for Egyptology, birds and mammals, dinosaurs and live amphibians but there's a lot more besides. Explore the Museum's 15 galleries to see objects from the four corners of the world and almost every period in history. Activities The Museum has a packed programme of events for adults and children. The Social Circle fee for this event is £7.50. Any other fees are additional and payable by you.
