Chorlton Ees and Sale Water Park
Wonderful wildlife, water, flowers and fascinating walks – in a surprising suburban setting
Explore some of Manchester's finest local nature reserves – a haven for wild birds, and a fantastic range flora and fauna.
Sale water park is a chain of nature reserves that run along the River Mersey as it winds its way between Chorlton-Cum-Hardy and Sale. Both Sale Water Park and Chorlton Eees, on the other side of the river, are home to vast numbers of wild birds, with marshes, rivers, streams, wildflower meadows and woods providing a variety of habitats for native and migrating birds.
We'll be heading towards the Trans Pennine Trail and finishing at the River Mersey.
Start and Finish: Chorlton Bus Station
Distance: 4 1/2 miles app
Time: 2 1/4 hrs app
Terrain: Easy walking along roadways, cobbled paths and footpaths – some parts may be muddy.
Recommended footwear: Sturdy footwear or walking boots.
The walk will be fully guided.
Once the walk is complete, we'll be going for an optional Sunday Roast in Chorlton, where costs will be personally payable by you.
As with all Social Circle events, you will be greeted by one of our friendly hosts, who will make you feel welcome and relaxed and have you settled in in no time. Then socialise and network with like-minded professional people, whilst having fun in a stress-free environment.
The fee for this event is £7.50. Any drinks or food are additional and payable by you.
Due to health and safety pre booking is a MUST.
