Appreciate art displayed in all it's finest glory at the renowned Manchester Art Gallery. What’s inside? Their collection is made up of fine art and decorative art. They're probably most famous for their Pre-Raphaelite paintings but all periods are covered, from ancient pottery to contemporary art. What's on Catch the latest exhibitions from their diverse changing programme. Or go along to one of their wide range of workshops, tours and other activities for adults and families: most of their events are free. Current Exhibitions Ten Drawings by Leonardo da Vinci from the Royal Collection. This exhibition celebrates the 60th birthday of HRH The Prince of Wales. It's a rare chance to see ten of the Royal Collection's finest drawings by the Renaissance master Leonardo da Vinci (1452 - 1519). Paul Morrison Using plant images from popular and classical sources, British artist Paul Morrison plays with scale to create dramatic black and white landscapes. This exhibition of his work includes new canvases, sculpture and a major site-specific wall painting. Explore Their collections The gallery's collections include more than 25,000 objects of art, craft and design. Only a fraction of these can be displayed at any one time. They recently won the Large Visitor Attraction of the Year award at the Manchester Tourism Awards 2008. Come and find out why almost 400,000 visitors enjoy the gallery each year. After visiting the gallery, we'll head to Kro Piccadilly for lunch. The Social Circle fee for this event is £7.50. Any drinks or food are additional and payable by you.
