A feelgood, true-life underdog story about an American sports agent who travels to India in search of new talent. J.B. Bernstein (Jon Hamm) is a former bigshot whose career as a sports agent is on the slide. In one last, desperate throw of the dice, he sets out to track down untapped talent in cricket-mad rural India. Through a reality TV contest called Million Dollar Arm, he aims to find a fast-bowler who can be transformed into a major league baseball star. But while India presents J.B. with a sharp learning curve, America proves a major culture shock for his naive young recruits. This is a rousing true story from Oscar-nominated 'Up' co-writer Thomas McCarthy. It teams Mad Men's John Hamm with two of India's most exciting international breakout stars - Madhur Mittal from 'Slumdog Millionaire' and Suraj Sharma of 'Life of Pi' fame. The great Alan Arkin contributes a scene-stealing performance as a grouchy retired scout.
