A four hour workshop to move guitarists forward into more sophisticated playing. Everything you need to stand out at dinner parties, open mic and acoustic jam nights!
So many people play guitar, but quickly reach a 'plateau' and stay there. This session is all about going to the next level and beyond.
You will leave the workshop with enough material and guidance to continue learning at home, along with buckets of inspiration!
Suitable for beginner to intermediate players.
You will learn:
- a range of right hand strumming and fingerpicking techniques
- to mix together and 'randomise' strumming and fingerpicking patterns
- to expand your chord vocabulary
- to substitute chords in songs to create different sounds and styles
- hammer on/pull off techniques
- to add riffs and phrases around your chords
- to add bass lines to chords
- to improve your sense of rhythm
- a more musical approach to playing
- to apply all of the above to 4 new songs, and perform them as a group.
This workshop is unique and offers guitarists a real stepping stone to better playing in a single session. Ideal for busy people! It is also a really fun day out!
- Learning with others will inspire and motivate you to keep developing as a player.
- You will meet new like-minded people.
- Many of our participants arrange to meet up and learn/play together in their own time.
- This session will help improve your general confidence with the guitar.
