***PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BOOKINGS MUST BE TAKEN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO SHOW TAKING PLACE.*** The Australian Pink Floyd Show is to perform Pink Floyd's legendary rock opera The Wall live in concert at the M.E.N Arena on Wednesday 22 April. "RIGHT now, the odds of a Pink Floyd reunion are similar to those of an Elvis comeback. But Pink Floyd man Roger Waters is currently on tour playing 1973's iconic Dark Side Of The Moon album in its entirety. In spite of this competition, tribute act The Australian Pink Floyd Show - now almost 20 years old - still managed to draw a sizeable crowd at the arena in their own right. That's because fans know The Australian Pink Floyd Show isn't your average tribute act. Like an accomplished orchestra, they play note-perfect, carbon copy renditions. There's no attempt made to dress up like them, and nor are there the same amount of members. Visual But there's no scrimping when it comes to the visual element, with video screens, a kick-ass light and laser show and some well-timed surprises - a giant, inflatable pig and, later, a giant, inflatable kangaroo looming above the stage. Highlights of the two and a half hour show included a swaggering Another Brick In The Wall, a weather beaten Wish You Were Here, a frantic Astronomy Domine, a dreamlike Comfortably Numb and a phenomenal version of The Great Gig In The Sky with backing vocalists Ola Bienkowska and Amy Smith amply filling in for Clare Torry's expressive wailing. But there were some poor song choices in there too - '80s aberrations such as Learning To Fly could happily be omitted. Enjoyable as it was, there was still that niggling feeling that The Australian Pink Floyd Show just isn't the real thing. If anything, the performance was a little too smooth, a little too perfect. One thing is for sure - Roger Waters has got a hell of a lot to live up to when he arrives in town next month." Please note, this is a fully seated show. The M.E.N. Arena is Europe's largest indoor arena and concert venue. And now it's 3,000-21,000 capacity opens it's doors to one of the world's best tribute bands. Cost includes your concert ticket, booking fee, and all Social Circle fees. No more bookings are being taken for this event.
