***PLEASE NOTE THAT ALL BOOKINGS MUST BE TAKEN 7 DAYS PRIOR TO SHOW TAKING PLACE.*** Rick Astley will return to the M.E.N Arena on Friday 15 May alongside fellow 80's stars Kim Wilde, Howard Jones, Kid Creole & The Coconuts, Altered Images, Brother Beyond and Hazel O'Connor. 1: Fresh from his MTV Best Act Ever win last December, RICK ASTLEY returns for the second consecutive year to headline this year's tour. Rick started his career with Stock, Aitken & Waterman where he was famously discovered as a tea boy. Rick went on to enjoy some of the biggest hits of the 80's including Never Gonna Give You Up, When I Fall In Love, Together Forever and Whenever You Need Somebody. No other British solo male can match Rick's seven consecutive top ten hits in that decade. 2: Enigmatic blonde bombshell KIM WILDE returns to the Here & Now fold after an absence of five years of playing live in the UK (she's the only act to have performed on three tours previously, coming out of 15 years retirement to do so!). She's hanging up her gardening gloves to belt out her hits such as Chequered Love, You Keep Me Hanging On and the massive No 2. hit Kids In America. 3: Synth wizard HOWARD JONES celebrates 25 years in music this year. His classic hits include New Song, Things Can Only Get Better, Like To Get To Know You Well, What Is Love? and No One Is To Blame. 4: KID CREOLE & THE COCONUTS stormed the charts throughout the 80's with hits that include Annie, I'm Not Your Daddy, Stool Pigeon & I'm A Wonderful Thing, Baby. 5: Fronted by Clare Grogan, ALTERED IMAGES burst onto the music scene in 1981 hitting the No. 2 slot with Happy Birthday. Other hits included I Could Be Happy, See Those Eyes & Don't Talk To Me About Love. 6: BROTHER BEYOND had their first hit with the production giants PWL The Harder I Try, He Ain't No Competition, Be My Twin & Can You Keep A Secret. 7: The first major female star of the 80's, HAZEL O'CONNOR starred in the cult film Breaking Glass alongside Phil Daniels, Jim Broadbent and Jonathan Price. Her hits include Eighth Day, D-days & Will You. The M.E.N. Arena is Europe's largest indoor arena and concert venue. And now it's 3,000-21,000 capacity opens it's doors to some of the most successful acts from the best decade of them all. No more bookings are being taken for this event.
