Cilla is passionate about what she does, making everyone feel very welcome whatever their ability-level. She keeps classes light-hearted & enjoyable whilst at the same time providing clear technical guidance.
She created her Stretch class, which alongside her Pilates classes, are incredibly popular across Greater Manchester, where she has been teaching for over 20 years.

Venue
Ambleside YHA is a stylish venue boasting fantastic facilities with breath-taking views, situated right on the shores of Lake Windermere. After its £1.4 million renovation, you won’t believe you are in a youth hostel! It is within a short walking distance from several pubs, 2 cinemas as well as the local shops in the charming town of Ambleside.
Location
YHA Ambleside is on the shores of Lake Windermere in the Lake District National Park - an idyllic spot with stunning views, and is extremely popular for walking.
Fitness Sessions
All sessions take place in a room overlooking Lake Windermere, just a few metres away.
There will be one session each of Legs, Bums & Tums; Stretch; and Pilates, with the last class being a combination of Pilates & Stretch.
The expected session times are: Saturday: 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Sunday: 8am – 9am, & then 5.30 pm – 6.30 pm
Monday: 10.30am – 11.45 am
Pilates is a full body workout, improving posture & overall strength & flexibility; the pelvic floor as well as core strength.
Stretch is a full body stretch, releasing the body from aches and tightness, lengthening muscles, improving posture and calming the mind.
Legs, Bums & Tums tones & firms up your tummy, hips, thighs and bottom.
Suitability
Suitable for all levels of fitness and experience, as adaptations can be given throughout the sessions.
You will be required to fill out a health questionnaire prior to the retreat and email it to Cilla, where you can discuss any injuries or limitations prior to the event.
What is included
2 nights accommodation in a shared room for 2 or 3 people; a full hot & cold English breakfast both mornings; 4 sessions incl. Pilates, Stretch and Legs, Bums & Tums; use of all facilities including a lake-side restaurant, modern self-catering kitchen & even the venue’s private jetty & slipway…
There will be plenty of time to go for walks & explore The Lakes
Cost
Prices are per person, sharing a 2 or 3-bed room
Social Circle Member cost: £179
Non-member cost: £199
A deposit of £50 secures a place, & the remainder is due by August 1st.
If booking after August 1st, full payment is required.
Meals & catering
The Lakeside restaurant in the hostel itself offers a range of contemporary meals throughout the day, with other local eateries and pubs close by.
A modern and well-equipped self-catering kitchen & dining room is also available. This allows you the choice to mix and match either purchased or self-catered meals as you prefer, allowing you to control any budget or dietary requirements.
Equipment
Please feel free to bring your own fitness/pilates mat if you have one, or if you require a mat, please get in touch so that we can arrange to take one for you.
Travel arrangements
We will try & help co-ordinate transport if people are looking to car-share from the Manchester area, or would like to share a taxi from Windermere train station.
