Itinerary:
Friday Arrival dinner: 8.00 pm approx with weekend briefing.
We'll have a bite to eat and then go for a few drinks at the local pub for a chance to get to know each other better!
On Saturday,
An easy-going 5 and a half mile easy-going social walk, with mainly tracks following the initial steep climb. The views of the hills of Snowdonia are fantastic and there’s an 11th Century Church out in the fields. We’ll then walk by the edge of a lake, and gradually descend through historic woodlands. Then before heading back for some home cooking, drop in to the local pub for a well deserved drink.
On Sunday,
After a lazy start reading the papers and having had a full English Breakfast we will set off straight from the Barn for a five mile circular walk around the local area taking in the local spectacular sights.
Take time to explore the stunning landscape and rich heritage of Snowdonia, and sample true Celtic hospitality around Betws-y-Coed in the heart of Welsh Wales.
The 5 mile easy-moderate walk, like most in the area, starts with a steep climb but after that it’s fairly easy, with good tracks and signposting leading to excellent viewpoints. You are not likely to meet many other walkers except near the lake. Moel Siabod dominates the skyline
