Come and join in, it’s absolutely FREE! Here at Social Circle we are lucky, not only to live in one of the greatest cities in the world, but to be surrounding by exceptional walking routes. Come along and explore walking in Manchester and surrounding areas, and meet some new people along the way.

A 6.6 mile walk around the Moorland Area's of Marsden, starting at the Standedge Tunnel Car Park (at the railway station).

We'll head out of the town along the Standedge Tunnel and quickly into the moorland & passing the Redbrook, Swellands & Black Moss Reservoirs and onto the Pennine Way. After a quick descent down Blakely Clough we'll soon join the Kirklees Way and head back towards Marsden, passing yet some more beautiful Reservoirs and into one of the fine pubs for a drink and some food.

Most of the walk is on good paths but there may be the odd muddy spot so good footwear and clothing suitable for the weather conditions are advised.

Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers walking boots as may be slippy tea flask.
