Is this for me?

Our weekend in Galway is great for those who want to meet new people whilst exploring Ireland. Galway, a picturesque harbor city nestled on Ireland’s west coast, has something for everyone. Foodies will love the fresh seafood in the many stone-clad cafes and restaurants.

Experience the craic of live Irish folk music whilst sipping a Guinness in one of the City’s traditional and quirky pubs. Explore the Wild Atlantic way by taking a boat trip to the Cliffs of Moher, or marvel at the fairytale abbeys and wild ponies of Connemara.

Who are we?

Social Circle offers Manchester-based professionals the opportunity to meet new people, try new activities and enjoy short breaks in the UK and abroad. There are no hidden costs and our weekends away are hassle-free. After nearly two decades of connecting people in Manchester, you can trust us to take care of all the details and ensure you have a great time, guaranteed.

Just see what our members have said about our Irish breaks:
Thank you so much for one of the best holidays I have ever had! The horse-drawn pub crawl was a great way to see Limerick. The trip to the Cliffs of Moher was beautiful and we had a great time watching the greyhound racing. We got on so well as a group and laughed so much. I would definitely go again. David

What can I expect?

Our weekend travelers include a good mix of friendly professionals. Everyone wants to meet new people, so don’t worry about not knowing anyone, we will soon change that!

We will meet in Manchester Airport for breakfast before our flight which gives plenty of opportunities to chat with your fellow travelers and meet your host.

Your host, Heather and the co host Steve, has a wealth of knowledge and bags of experience and enthusiasm to make this a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. Given you will want to meet new people and enjoy the best Galway has to offer, we will make sure socializing is high on the agenda. We will offer some beautiful walks, day trips, and fun activities for the group. We can create our very own Galway Guide with https://www.visitacity.com/

Want to go your own way? No problem. Heather & the co host Steve can make recommendations and answer any questions. So you can just relax and enjoy an evening sharing stories with your fellow companions.

For the evenings, we will choose restaurants and bars that offer the finest Irish Fayre and will give that true flavor of Galway. Why not try a plate of fresh oysters on the beach? Perhaps a plate of hearty Irish stew whilst listening to a ceilidh band play folk music?

What about the hotel?

As we like to enjoy the craic until the wee hours, we like our beds to be within a few minutes walk of the restaurants, bars and places we will be visiting.

We are staying at the glorious 4* Maldron hotel which is a top rated hotel by guests on trip advisor and is a short walk from the city center. Each room is stylishly decorated to ensure a relaxing and comfortable stay. Rooms offered on a twin shared single-sex basis. Single occupancy rooms can be arranged for a supplement.

Hi Steve, I'm booked on this weekend... and really looking forward to it : ) !! I've booked the recommended flights, but how do I sit with other people on the trip if I am checking-in using my personal booking reference? X
Stephen Sutherland : Hi Andrea, its only a very short flight so as we are all booking independantly we will just have to sit where we get put on the flight, not long now. Steve
