Some Sunday morning activity to get you social and active with some new friends in Manchester.
Dunham Park; Tattonm Park and Rostherne Mere National Nature Reserve, important for water fowl and famous for roosting gulls, with up to 20,000 gathering in Winter. There is no access to thge lake itself, as it is 'reserved' for the birds, but the view is good from the roadside jujts past the church outside Rostherne. The Wesley plaque (at point 3, beneath the motorway bridge has two seats), the plaque explaining that from May 1747 onwards John Wesley (the founder of Methodism) on several occasions visited this locality to say at Old Booth Farm, Agden, preaching under the oak tree which stood in front of the house.
