All Inclusive Peak District Walking Weekend for an Amazing £99!!!
Overview
Experience the tranquility of the Peak District National Park where we have our Walking Weekend 24th - 26th June with 2 nights accommodation, 2 breakfasts, 2 picnic lunches, 2 evening meals, and 2 fully guided walks Saturday and Sunday and all for an amazing £99!!!
The Peak District & Derbyshire, is world class destination stretching from the dramatic moorland and breathtaking landscapes of Britain's first National Park to the ancient oaks of the National Forest in the south of the county.
Itinerary
Friday:
Welcome get together with dinner around 8pm.We'll have a bite to eat and then go for a drink at the local pub for a chance to get to know each other better!
Saturday:
After a short drive our Saturday walk will start in the small market town of Bakewell, established in 1254 and full of lovely historic buildings. From there we will cross some woodland and pastures until we reach the village of Edensor and Chatsworth Park. We’ll spend some time exploring the grounds of this beautiful manor house, the home of the Duke and Duchess of Devonshire. Afterwards, we’ll head south along the Derwent Valley Herritage Way to Rowsley and then along the river Wye through the grounds of another stately home, Haddon Hall, back to Bakewell. There we can have lunch, do some sightseeing and enjoy the famous Bakewell pudding, before returning for dinner at Sheen. 10 mile 4 hour walk graded 2.
Sunday:
We will start from the village of Hartington and explore the beautiful valleys typical for the White Peak area. Our walk will start in the Beresford Dale, continue through to the Wolfscote Dale and Mill Dale, through the village of Alstonefield and back via Biggin Dale to Hartlington. Devonshire Arms pub in Hartlington has great food reviews, so we can finish there with a well deserved pint and a traditional Sunday roast.10 mile 4 hour walk graded 2.

I would recommend this trip to anyone as a great way to spend your weekend! This was my first event and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I was made to feel relaxed from the moment we arrived at the lodge - everyone was really friendly and genuinely interested in meeting new people. On top of that, the location was beautiful - a definite contrast to the Manchester landscape! I'm definitely glad I went and will sign up on more Social Circle events for sure. Sue Rilley
