Lakes Walking Weekend - SOLD OUT

Continuing our '3 Peaks Challenge', the next on the list is Scafell Pike (highest peak in England),the plan is to do this on the Saturday, it will mean a short drive to Eskdale for the start. After breakfast and relaxing reading the Sunday newspapers, a shorter walk is planned straight from the hut, up the Walna Scar Road and over Dow Crag (views of Old Man Coniston). People are welcome to come on the organised walks, or just turn up and do their own thing. If people want to bring bikes, a ride could be on the cards for Sunday as well as/instead of a walk. There is also a pub about a mile down the road if you want a countryside social drink, which we might try out on the Friday and keep Saturday in-house for the entertainment. All food will be provided: Friday meal to warm you up after your drive, breakfast and packed lunches on Saturday and Sunday and a 3 course evening meal with wine/beer inclusive on the Saturday. Traditional climbing bunk house accommodation, with roaring open cosy log fires provides a warm, homely feel for socialising in. Hill walking experience would be an advantage. These weekends are a great way of getting out and about while doing an event and socialising, so book early to avoid disappointment as limited numbers!
