A nice easy couple hour walk around Lyme Park followed by Sunday Roast at The Rams Head M M M
At Lyme there is a painting of a servants’ ball, which was painted at the height of the Edwardian age when this great sporting estate was enjoying a golden era. It captures a moment when Lyme was at its best, however life would never be the same again after the tragedy of the Great War. Explore lavish interiors, celebrations, treasures and beautiful gardens set against sweeping moorland. Enjoy a relaxed visit, and dip into experiences of a vanished age. What was life like before the ball had ended?
