Wild camping is probably the best way to enjoy the beautiful remote parts of the Lake District.
We will meet up and travel together to Langdale where we will kit you out with a rucksack, tent food and cooking equipment. We will then head off to our overnight camping spot.
In the shadow of Scafell Pike (England’s highest mountain), we will cook a meal and enjoy the breathtaking scenery and the tranquility of the hills.
After a good night’s sleep and breakfast, we will head over a high mountain pass back into the Langdale Valley where we will pitch our tents at a ‘conventional’ campsite.
There will be time to grab a shower and a change of clothes before heading to the pub for a pint and a meal (not included).
We will travel home the following day after a short walk if we fancy it!
This is a fantastic opportunity to experience wild camping first hand. Some of my most memorable and enjoyable times in the hills have been when I have been wild camping. No phones, no streetlights, no cars, no TV, just a real chance to unwind and enjoy great company!
You will be carrying a pack weighing around 15kg so a reasonable level of fitness will be required.
