FREE Danebridge and Wincle Minn Walk
Distance: 8.5 miles
Duration: 3.5 – 4 hours
Difficulty: 3 (moderate, 2 uphill sections)
Starting from Rushton Spencer the picturesque route begins by following the Dane Valley Way towards Danebridge. After Danebridge a couple of moderate uphill sections (separated by easy parts) take us out of the valley and up to Wincle Minn which has great views out over Cheshire and across to The Cloud.
A gentle descent takes us down towards the River Dane on the Gritstone Trail and heads back towards Rushton Spencer for a drink and/or food at the Knot Inn
(Parking is first left after the Knot Inn at Rushton Spencer) Car sharing available. Kit list: hat, gloves, warm clothes, waterproof jacket and trousers, walking trousers walking boots as may be slippy tea flask.
