Gerard Butler plays a washed-up footballer trying to reconnect with his son in this uplifting comedy. George Dryer (Gerard Butler) used to have it all. He was a star professional footballer with a beautiful wife, Stacie (Jessica Biel), and an adorable son named Lewis (Noah Lomax). But somehow he managed to throw it all away. Now the down-on-his-luck charmer is making a last-ditch effort to bond with Lewis by becoming the coach of his football team. Handsome George quickly attracts the attention of the local soccer mums like Patti (Uma Thurman) and Denise (Catherine Zeta-Jones) - a former sportscaster who gets him an audition with ESPN. But with Stacie planning to get married to Matt (James Lewis), it's time for George to man-up and take some real decisions about his life and his role as a father. From 'The Pursuit of Happyness' director Gabriele Muccino, this is an inspirational comedy about learning to become an adult.
