Upon arrival you will be greeted by the lord and his men. You will then be out fitted with all the lattest fashion of medieval wear, then you will go back in time with us to a time off unrest and up-evil.
But first a hearty meal then relax around the camp and enjoy game magic and lots more. Then Saturday stars with a good breakfast and then learn to shoot a longbow, fight with spear, sword and buckler, with wooden weapons, building the skills and confidence for a ‘Tournament of Arms’ with real blunt metal weapons, for the hard-core medieval combat enthusiast!
Over the two days you will receive tuition in the use of the longbow, the ultimate and most feared weapon of the medieval arsenal. The sword, the symbol of power might and status. Finally, the spear, the weapon of the man-at-arms which formed the basis of the defencive line.
The training is designed to build your skills and confidence with the safety of wooden practise weapons in a controlled environment. Afterwards you have the opportunity to take part in a ‘Tournament of Arms’ using authentic medieval re-enactment swords and pole-arms and bows under the full supervision of our trained, experienced staff.
You will be issued with the latest fashion in medieval clothing, including padded armour and helmet to keep you safe and enhance the authentic experience, from which will be an unforgettable weekend. Upon your arrival in the evening you will warmly welcome by the lord and his knights, with a seat around the camp-fire with an authentic medieval dinner of stew, bread, fruit and a tankard of something alcoholic maybe to wash it down (some soft drinks available). For the duration of the experience you will be sleeping in authentic style medieval troop tents. You will also be expected to aid our cooks with wood and water collections as they prepare and cook your evening meal.
After a hard day of training, enjoy a hearty dinner, relax and chill out on our stunning site by the side of a babbling brook in the heart of the Cheshire countryside. Or get involved with some of the medieval fun and games on offer to make this an even more memorable experience.you will also go out on guard duties and patrols to find the Emmey and destroy them if you can??
Upon arrival you will be issued with your kit:
1 pair medieval under pants
1 medieval shirt
1 pair right and left leg hose
1 padded jack
1 English or French ta bard red or blue
1 steel helmet and padded coif
All the food and drink is included in the weekend this is a chance to see just how they lived everything is as it would have been in ye old days, earn promotion and lead a group of raiders in to French territory, and find the enemy and destroy them.
The food is medieval food very nice cooked by an expert on medieval food. Altogether the most superb weekend you will ever have. You will be back for more once tried.
