A 10 mile walk taking in the best of Salford, from the Quays upstream along the Irwell River Park walkway, through town and countryside to Salford’s jewel in the crown; Clifton Country Park. Discover Salford’s secret places and see some of the wildlife that lives on this flowing water corridor, kingfishers, goosanders and herons to name a few. A welcoming break halfway at Crescent Meadows, and at the end at Clifton Visitor Centre, makes the effort all worthwhile.
Suggested donation for entry: £5 per person. All proceeds go to Salford Voluntary Rangers Forum. Under 16s welcome if accompanied by an adult.
