The Barn is set within long meadows and marshlands which stretch down towards the river home to Curlews, Skylards and Herons. All self contained accommodation in fantastic settings only just over an hour from Manchester. The activities we have chosen are designed to suit a range of abilities so don’t worry if you’ve never tried them before. All specialist equipment, including wetsuits are provided. Saturday Two hand-picked and extremely exciting activities in the stunning surroundings of North Wales and the Snowdonia National Park The activities we have chosen are designed to suit a range of abilities so don’t worry if you’ve never tried them before. All specialist equipment, including rock-climbing harnesses and ropes are provided. Gorge Scrambling You'll find yourself jumping across boulders, climbing waterfalls, crossing pools, traversing along rock walls and negotiating obstacles as you make your way up the rocky terrain of a mountain stream. A wet and wild adventure is guaranteed! Climbing and Abseiling Mother nature has been hugely generous to Wales, endowing it with alluring, craggy mountains, tempting sea cliffs and inviting walls of stone slabs. Try a half day climbing and abseiling on the lower crags of local mountains. We can set you easy to more challenging graded climbs depending upon your ability and experience. After the climb you may wish to try an abseil which should prove to be a breath taking experience - views can be magnificent! All equipment is provided. Our qualified instructors will show you what it's all about and give you full instruction. Sunday: After a lazy start reading the papers and having had a full English Breakfast we will set off straight from the Barn for a five mile circular walk around the local area taking in the local spectacular sights. Nestled amongst spectacular scenery, between a river and a network of mountain footpaths, the barn is uniquely positioned for outdoor enthusiasts. It has a patio area with fantastic views overlooking a mountain river and waterfall and a welcoming living room with views and real fire, perfect for cosying up in after our adventure day!
